A coding agent that fits in your head.
Most agents are black boxes wrapped in frameworks. LambAI is the opposite: a deliberately small reference implementation of an agent loop — model selection, function calling, tool execution, and a REPL — that you can read, audit, and extend.
Principles
Small on purpose
A few modules you can read in an afternoon: client, tools, config, prompts, and a REPL. No hidden framework layer.
Dependency-light
The V standard library plus curl, and nothing else. Fewer moving parts means fewer surprises.
Legible behaviour
Every tool call is printed and every write is confirmed. You should always see exactly what the lamb is doing.
Built with V
LambAI is written in V 0.5.2 and compiled with a single command
(v main.v).
It talks to any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, so you choose the model.
